We are deep in our campaign for medical debt and medical pricing. We had several town halls in the past months where people shared stories medical care they could not afford. We heard from one woman who got fired after her cancer diagnosis, which meant she couldn't afford her care, and her family tried but was unable to help her. Years later, she is still working multiple jobs to pay off that debt. We also heard from a college student whose parents tried to hide their financial stress when he was in the Emergency Room - but he knew that going to the hospital was not easy for them to afford.
We've shared so many stories and experiences like this. We're now still looking for ways to talk about what we've all been through - but we're also looking ahead and starting to strategize about specific campaign targets that we can take on.
