Our Focus: HOPE Job Training program is constantly changing and evolving, flexing to meet the needs of the modern workforce. Our newest endeavor is the expansion and growth of our pre-apprenticeship programs. Our goal is to show and prove how important and impactful pre-apprenticeships truly are. To help us expand this mission we’re excited to be a part of an all-new initiative! This summer we joined over 200 other organizations in the inaugural cohort of the US Department of Labor’s Apprenticeship Ambassador Initiative. This program was created for experts in their fields to share their experiences and collaborate on driving apprenticeship opportunities.
Thus far, our Focus: HOPE Job Training team and CEO have made their way to the White House for their first meeting. Our CEO, Portia Roberson, spoke on the panel sharing more about our amazing program. Read more about the Apprenticeship Ambassador Initiative here.
Another HUGE win for our Job Training program? Welcoming VP Kamala Harris, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and Lt. Governor Gilchrist for a tour of our Jim Tobin Workshop Floor a few weeks ago to learn more about our program offerings and courses.
