The health emergency generated by the COVID-19 outbreak led the Juanfe Foundation to close the doors of the Child Development Center (IDC) and rethink strategies to continue delivering comprehensive development to early childhood.
During mandatory isolation, we focused on improving the educational process of young mothers and their children through the implementation of a positive parenting module.
This module has been implemented through virtual encounters, generating support and tools so that they attend to their role as mothers in an appropriate way that promotes the well-being of the present and future of their children.
In the last quarter of 2020, Fundación Juanfe set out to strengthen psychosocial support and empower 362 young mothers through guidance on issues related to:
• Integral development
• Strengthening the affective bond between the mother and her baby.
• Guidelines for positive parenting
• Children's rights
• Talk about the maternal role.
• The regulatory framework for early childhood.
The Foundation continues to work remotely and will evaluate the possibility of implementing a mixed strategy for this first half of 2021.
