This project supports the rescue, care, and protection of young orphan chimpanzees in the Mahale ecosystem of Tanzania.Many orphaned chimpanzees lose their families due to habitat destruction, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict.The sanctuary provides food, veterinary care, shelter, and rehabilitation for vulnerable chimpanzees.The project also works with local communities to strengthen wildlife conservation efforts.Our goal is to give orphaned chimpanzees a safe and sustainable future.
Mahale's chimpanzee population faces increasing threats from deforestation and illegal hunting.Young chimpanzees often become orphaned when adult family members are killed or displaced. Without specialized care, orphaned chimpanzees have very low chances of survival in the wild.Limited conservation funding restricts rescue operations and long-term rehabilitation programs. Local communities need additional support to reduce pressures on wildlife habitats.
