In terms of employment, the rural area has seen a differentiation than the urban one. Employment resources in the village are limited. In this situation, rural women and girls face more problems. These women are unable to do any employment even after wanting and they do not have the necessary skills for self-employment. Keeping an eye on these problems, skill development training was being conducted by the RSKS organization in rural areas. To make women self-reliant, the organization is conducting garment making and beauty parlor training in remote villages.

The Garment Making and Beauty Parlor training conducted by the RSKS organization is of two months in which women and young girls are being taught skill knowledge of sewing and beauty parlor. All the women are learning by coming to regular training. In this context, life skill training was imparted to teach life skills to women. Life skills were taught to women through activities. This training increased the confidence of women. At the same time, women were told the success stories of successful entrepreneurs, which encouraged them. After this training, the women were confident and ready to take steps towards self-employment.

After training, the desire of self-employment was seen in most of the women and girls, for which the organization will make every effort. After the life skill training, now women and girls are training with positive energy. After training, women are practicing at home. This is also a part of life skills knowledge. In future, EDP, job fair and exhibition will be organized by the organization in training, which will provide marketing and employment opportunities to these women. EDP training is essential for a woman to become a successful entrepreneur and to increase marketing knowledge, haat market will be put in place. They will get marketing knowledge. The aim of the organization is that women of rural areas should become self-sufficient and they can get the means of employment sitting at home. The RSKS organization is committed to this task.

RSKS India Family wishes a Happy New Year 2021!!

Meet with Idol Maker Bindiya.

My name is Bindiya (Name Changed) and I am 59 years old. I live with my family with my husband and five children. The main business of our family is idol making. I work with my husband and children to make different types of idols. We live in a hut which is on the roadside. The work of the idol is more on the festival, that is, we earn only during the festival season, but due to Corona epidemic, the market has faded this year. No festival was made this year, which did not sell our idol. All the sculptures made by us remained intact and they did not earn me any income. My family and I had to face the problem of livelihood.

In the meantime, a helping hand was extended by the RSKS organization. The RSKS organization surveyed artists like us who are struggling with food ration. My name was also taken in it.  Afterwards I got a ration food kit and hygiene kit by the RSKS organization. When I got a ration food kit in my hand, happiness tears came in my eyes. This ration kit contained flour, rice, lentils, spices, soybeans, salt, oil, soap, etc. and the hygiene kit contained masks, sanitizers, handkerchiefs, etc.

This ration food kit will complete my family's food supply for up to one month. On the day of the ration distribution, my family and I ate belly full & had tension free sleep. Now, I am free from fear and anxiety and started working on the idol building. I hope that the corona period ends soon and everything goes as before so that our idol can be sold and we can earn some money. I give loving blessing to the RSKS organization, with the help of which me and my family got a lot of food.

An Impact: Girl Rising with Education

My name is Chanchal (Name Changed) and I am 15 years old. I have parents and three siblings at home. My father works as a laborer in the fields and runs our house. Last year, I passed my tenth grade and topped the school too. This year I have come to the 11th grade. I am interested in studies and I continue to study all day. This year, schools are closed due to COVID-19 pandemic and my education is being completely disrupted. My father is sitting unemployed at home and there was financial crisis in the house. For this reason I was not able to purchase educational material. Due to lack of teaching material, I am not able to study at home and I do not like to study in this situation.

Meanwhile, the RSKS organization was surveyed for teaching materials in our school. The headmaster selected me because of the school's top number passing and the financial condition of my house. Someday later I was given teaching materials and sanitation together. Seeing all this stuff, I got very happy. Teaching materials included school bag, registers, pens, pencils, rubber, scale, geometry box, copy, etc., along with all learning materials, as well as sanitary pads, soaps, masks, sanitizers, etc. were also present in the kit.

I was very happy with the teaching and hygiene kit. There was no place for my happiness. I showed all the goods to the parents at home, so my father turned his hand on my head and told me to study diligently and illuminate our name by passing through a good number. I had tears in my eyes at that time. And I hugged my parents. Now I sit at home and study diligently. My teachers guide me so that I have no problem. My dream is that I will become a teacher and help the poor girls in education. I thank the RSKS organization whole heartedly.

Dear Patrons Namaste!

Sculptors, puppet artists, potters, who have saved cultural and art in the modern environment, are still struggling for livelihood. These people depend on their skill and art for their livelihood. Corona pandemic totally took away their employment. Sculptors, puppet artists, potters earn during the festival season only and because of seasonal work, their earning is limited. In this pandemic they are totally unemployed and these people are struggling to get food.

RSKS India gave helping hand towards Sculptors, puppet artists, potters etc. RSKS India did need assessment survey of these kind of people and knew the needs of these people. It was found from need assessment that their first and biggest problem is of shortage of ration at their house. RSKS India provided them ration kit quickly so that their biggest problem can be solved as soon as possible. RSKS India selected 35 families who were Sculptors, puppet artists, potters etc. When ration kit were brought for them there was a wave of happiness on their face. In this ration kit there were flour, rice, pulses, spices, oil etc food materials.

The importance of this ration kit was more to these people. Seeing ration solved their biggest problem as they lived with fear everyday that they will be able to get 2 times meal a day or not. This ration material secured their 3 week food security. Now Sculptors, puppet artists, potters etc. and their family is able to eat a healthy diet both times in a day. Now their ration problem has been solved and they are focusing on getting employment only. They gave blessing to RSKS team and the donors for giving them ration as only because of the support given by RSKS and the donors, now they are able to eat food for 2 times without any fear.
