Hepatitis is now being seen as priority publec health issue in Pakistan. Multiple partners , both public and private are joining hands in this challenging yet achievable goal of Elimating Hepatitis by 2030
Multiple Corporates have joined hands and formed the first Corporate Coalition for Hepatitis Control in Pakistan
The Health Foundation has signed MoUs with multiple other NGOs to add Hepatitis Prevention and Control to their agenda
Till date 17 Hepatitis treatment sentinel sites have been established with multiple partners to provide quality care to a diverse, poorest of the poor community. All requisite services are provided under one roof
In addition 28 referral points have also been established across the mega city of Karachi from where patients identified are referred to nearest treatment centers for free care
Data from Jan - July 2019 :-
Patients identified = 2200
Patients linked to care = 1937
Patients completed treatment till date = 1535
Patients whose SVR due = 692
Patients who came for SVR = 614 (89%)
Patients with SVR positive = 606 (98.6 %)
Screening camps held = 89
Number of population screened = 14,265
The Health Foundation celebrated World Hepatitis Day on 28 July . Multiple seminars/conferences, walks and rallies, screening camps were held across Pakistan
