It is now 2 years since we launched the Adopt a Family inititative, and over 1000 families have benefited from the program. With things easing out on Covid 19 many households are able to fend for themselves, as much as the high inflation rates tend to drag them down.
We have been running food drives to keep on supporting eldrely person, orphans and the sick in the locals slums we work in. We vivit the slums every two weeks to check on our beneficiaries and donate to them foodstuffs and items donated by well wishers. Beyond the food support, we have been assisting granchildren who live with their vulnerable grandparents have access to education.
We are thankful to the local church that has supported our initiative. They donated to the kitty to aid the GBV survivors who live in our Hope Shelter. They also benefit from the food kitty as it can be tasking to feed all the families housed at our center.
Through our other Safe shelter fundraiser we hope to create sustainability by having our own farm where we will grow our food produce. This will not only aid our food kitty but we plan to also teach many of the beneficiaries how to grow their own food in order to make them self reliant.
We continue to appeal to well wishers to join us in our noble cause. Touch a heart today and give to an orphan, sick or elderly person.
