Arafa is a single mother of 4, a refugee from South Sudan and currently lives at Boroli Refugee settlements of Adjumani. Having gone through Sexual Violence back in South Sudan during the 2013 war which unfortunately got her infected with HIV/AIDS, Arafa lived in resentment, bitterness, Hatred and had lost all hope in life. In her own words, ''this program has really brought change in my life where now days I don’t think of my past because of the counselling classes that I received’. So for now since voice for humanity gave me support of the money, it has helped me expand my Restaurant business whereby I get over UGX 20,000 (about $5) per day in profit as compared before where I could only get UGX 5,000 (about $1.2). But however the main challenge I face now is lack of tables because I now receive a large number of customers and some times others have to remain standing until the chairs are evacuated. So I reguest if the organisation can help secure somes tables and chairs for me. We couldnt have done this without your continued support.
