Viola is among the first vulnerable refugee women and girls voice for humanity uganda in 2015 at Adjumani. Abandoned and left helpless with poor health after being infected with HIV/AIDs by the father of her two children, Viola did not see any hope in life and was mentally affected.
Over the years with the Trauma Counseling and Economic support that Voice for Humanity Uganda gave to Viola, she has been able to gain good mental and physical health as well as progressiing well economically. With less than $10 initial support given to Viola in 2015, she has been able to grow her business, untill she bought her first Sewing Machine which has enbaled her to buy two more Sewing Machines. ''My dreams are coming to reality, I am now able to support myself and my children without looking at help from any one or organisation, what Voice for Humanity did for me was like laying a cornerstines for my life'', said Viola when we recently visited her in her Boroli One refugee settlement home. Violan believes she has many more years to leave on earth. ''I will not die due to HIV/AIDS but i will leave longer to ensure all my children grow up and finish their education to university because my life is now better as I am slef reliant now'', she added.
Viola is just one among so many refugee women and girls living with HIV/AIDS and whose lives is deperate but could be changed with an investment of $10. Your continued support to Voice for Humanity Uganda enables us to transform the lives of women and girls living with chronic illnesses including HIV/AIDs and Cancer. Giving them renewed hope and strength to stand on their own and support their children.
