Monthly maintenance program

By QUEEN OBASI | PRESIDENT

The monthly maintenance program that follows the annual screening is going very well in the three communities; Umugolo village, Amakohia and Avutu village. The need for money for medications continues to be our biggest problem in supporting these people who could not afford the diabetics and hypertensive medications on their own due to poverty. There is a need for continuity throw the maintenance program for these individuals to be able to stay healthy and able to manage their conditions. The beneficiaries of this program remain appreciative for the care and help they are receiving in managing their health. We have started planning for the next outreach taking place in November, in the three large communities that covers a lot of other communities around them. We are going to have volunteers of all ages this year participating in our program.
