The main activities carried out for this first term were printing of visibility materials, purchase of drugs (psychotropics and others), identification of beneficiaries, and clinical management of common pathologies. 12 children and adolescents were identified with life-terminal diseases (cancer and HIV), and out of these 12, 6 were diagnosed and treated for malaria, diarrhea, and respiratory tract infections. 5 family members benefitted from psychological support. In perspective, AAPV intends to train 14 health personnel on palliative care services, continuous community-based management of common pathologies, and provide psychosocial support to children and adolescent with life terminal diseases. Moreover, identification of beneficiaries in other health areas will be done by the project team.
