Thanks for supporting us through your generous contributions for supporting Poor Couples to Access Family Planning. With utmost consistency, we are guiding the community. We gratefully accept your recent contributions!
In India, Family Planning is not topic of open discussion. In this scenario of limited communication, people develop several myths about family planning. Our MerryGold Health Network is working towards breaking the myths.
In this report, we would like to share same story about Ms. Laxmina, a resident of Kudhkala, Mughaalsarai in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Our Merrytarang Member Soni visited Kudhkala to counsel the community about family planning and its importance. During her conversation with Laxmina, she found that Laxmina restricted herself for using family planning methods. She had listened a lot of myths from the community and believed that without thinking of logic. It was very hard to show the real world to Laxmina. But our Merrytarang Member did not give up on her and counseled her perfectly. Her efforts were seen when Laxmina visited Aman Hospital, Mughaalsarai for her session of counseling with Doctor. The Doctor suggested the method which is best for her. After few days, she again visited Hospital for her family planning surgery. She is very much happy that she had decided to adopt this method. It would be very hard for us to reach and serve the underprivileged area without your support. To serve in every hard to reach area, we would require your support. Many of Laxmina are still waiting for their blindfolds to be opened.
