This project provides essential medicines for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and war-affected people living in remote villages of the Poltava region, Ukraine. Our mobile medical team - consisting of a doctor, nurse, and psychologist - travels to rural communities to deliver free consultations, basic tests (such as glucose, cholesterol, and ECG), and psychosocial support. However, due to limited funding, we face a severe shortage of essential medicines. Your support will help us purchase ant
The Poltava region, while relatively safe from shelling, hosts thousands of internally displaced persons. Rural areas have limited healthcare infrastructure, few pharmacies, and frequent shortages of essential medicines. Mobile medical teams provide consultations and basic tests, but lack the necessary medicines to meet the growing needs of displaced and vulnerable people.
This project provides essential medicines to displaced and war-affected people in remote Poltava villages. Mobile teams already offer consultations and basic screenings, but lack of medication prevents full care. With donated funds, we will supply anti-inflammatories, antivirals, hepatoprotectives, antibiotics, painkillers, antihypertensives, and vitamins, reaching 5000 people by year-end and preventing complications from untreated conditions.
By providing essential medicines to displaced and war-affected people, this project will improve overall health, prevent complications from untreated conditions, and reduce hospitalizations. Strengthened access to medical care and continuity of treatment will increase community resilience, support well-being, and lay the foundation for recovery, enabling vulnerable populations to better cope with the ongoing challenges of displacement and war.
