Dear Donor,
Agora women entrepreneurs are implementing innovative, market-based solutions to today's most pressing social and environmental challenges, such as bringing waterless toilets to the slums of Lima, connecting cacao farmers in Belize with high-end chocolate markets in the US, installing complete water infrastructure solutions in Chile to connect communities to remote water sources, and reforesting Mexico by selling re-plantable live Christmas trees.
Your support is critical to accelerating the growth of these high impact women owned companies that are redefining success in business. We re-launched the Accelerate Women Now initiative in 2013 with Half the Sky movement. As part of the initiative, we wrote an article that was published in Forbes along with a series of interviews (part 2, part 3) about the need to support women entrepreneurship globally. Thanks to our concerted push to get more outstanding women into our program, we have increased the number of women owned or co-owned companies in our Accelerator from 24% of the class of 2011 to nearly 60% of the class of 2014. We aspire to operate the most gender-balanced accelerator in Latin America.
We appreciate your support and wish you a wonderful year ahead.
Best,
Accelerate Women Now Team
