As part of the project, the Good Initiatives Foundation carried out a series of educational workshops in the field of financial education for children and young people from the so-called orphanages in Poland, school starter kits and volunteering activities for children and young people.
The beneficiaries of the workshops were young people aged 13-17 from orphanages in towns such as uków, Stoczek ukowski and Zambrów. However, over 100 children and young people also benefited from school kits and competence volunteering activities.
As part of financial education, young people acquired the skills to create a home budget, plan monthly costs and sources of income. Additionally, the workshops included classes on financial prevention, so as not to fall into debt, debt spirals, and how to manage one's assets.
Additionally, the youth acquired competences in how to plan the budget for various types of event and social activities. How to plan tasks, schedules. budgets and cooperation.
Additionally, young people acquired skills in dealing with the world of finance (how to read contracts, basic concepts of economics and finance), negotiations with a bank, etc.
