Project Title: Empowering Survivors of Sexual Abuse and Human Trafficking Through Storytelling and Advocacy. Project Summary: Voices of the Defenseless is a 501 c 3, non-profit organization committed to providing a platform for survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking to heal, share their stories, and fight for justice. This project aims to expand our efforts globally by providing survivors with the tools, resources, and support they need to rebuild their lives.
The Problem: Sexual abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking are ongoing global crises affecting millions of people, many of whom never receive the support they need to heal. Survivors, especially in marginalized communities, often face silence, stigma, and lack of access to critical resources like legal assistance, mental health care, and safe spaces. Without support, they are left vulnerable to further violence, exploitation, and emotional trauma.
Our Solution: Voices of the Defenseless provides a comprehensive program that offers survivors of abuse and trafficking a path to healing, empowerment, and justice. Our approach includes: Healing through Storytelling and Writing: We offer survivors the opportunity to express their trauma and experiences through creative writing, including books, poems, and storytelling workshops.
