Gifting Little Hearts…………….Transforming Lives
Respected Donors,
Abhilasha Foundation is happy to inform you all that we have transformed two more lives of the underprivileged children. We are proud to inform you that we have touched 130 underprivileged children and gave them a new lease of life…. They are all leading a normal life. The parents of these children are very very poor and illiterate and reeling in the vicious circle of poverty hence they neglect the health issues of their own and their children. It was during the health check up camp in their village they came to know about the disease of their children. Today they thank Abhilasha Foundation for giving their children a new lease of life.
1st beneficiary is a 2 year old boy suffering from a congenital heart disease Tricuspid Atresia (Is a type of heart disease that is present at birth (congenital heart disease) with VSD with a moderate PDA and he needs to undergo Glenn Shunt Surgery (It is a surgical operation for children born with cyanotic heart disease (“blue babies”) in which a large vein (the superior vena cava) is connected to the right pulmonary artery so that blood bypasses the malformed right chambers of the heart and is shunted directly into the lungs to be oxygenated). Due to their poor financial condition they had been going door to door for financial support and hence could not operate him. His health started deteriorating day by day and his parents’ took him to Balaji Heart Hospital & Diagnostic Centre, Byculla, Mumbai. Doctors informed them that he requires an urgent Open Heart Surgery as early as possible. His father works as a farmer in Buldhana District, Maharashtra and his mother is a house wife. His father earns only Rs. 3,333/- per month. Since the entire family and his parents are dependent on him, he naturally is not in a position to bear the cost of his treatment.
2nd beneficiary is a 11 year old boy suffering from a congenital heart disease and he needs to undergo VSD (A Ventricular Septal Defect is an opening in the ventricular septum). His father works as a farmer in Latur District, Maharashtra and his mother is a house wife but sometimes she also work in the farm. His father earns only Rs. 5000/- per month. Since the entire family and his parents are dependent on him, he naturally is not in a position to bear the cost of his treatment.
Daily updates of the patients are taken by Abhilasha Foundation Team and ask them about the patients recovery. The patients feel nice when someone calls and ask them about their child’s recovery. Their own relatives also leave them during this tough time but Abhilasha Foundation is there to support them. Hence they feel relieved when they get calls from Abhilasha Foundation team. Abhilasha Foundation helps them financially for their surgeries. Both the patients are successfully operated and are fine.
