The Association of African Entrepreneurs (aka African Association of Entrepreneurs, AAE) is a volunteer-run organisation founded in 2004 that supports the sustainable business development of African small and medium enterprises (SMEs). AAE supports SMEs in Africa through advocacy, education, information and networking support.
AAE volunteers are located throughout the globe and are coordinated by a head office in Ghana and a network of national teams. AAE volunteers mainly work virtually, making use of online collaboration tools to support each other and SMEs. However, national teams sometimes also offer in-person support services.
