Access to sports, moving and fresh air is a boost for all people, but not always easy when you have a physical disability. A wheelchair bicycle tandem is a perfect tool to combine all three and will improve the spirit, physical condition and connection of cyclist and wheelchair athlete.
AKSI works with disadvantaged people. These people have physical or mental problems, addictions, etc.. but they all have one thing in common: they've been unemployed for a long time. AKSI gives these people a job in a social economic restaurant, local tourism or in a chores group.
getting out in the fresh air and getting active will improve the mental and physical condition of the Aksi employees and will give a unique experience to a person in a wheelchair who is not able to go cycling on his own
Through social connection with wheelchair athletes, Aksi's employees will learn new skills and attitudes that will improve their work. For wheelchair athletes and their families Aksi is a unique place to relax, enjoy and recharge their energy.
