Lebanon and Syria continue to face severe humanitarian and economic crises, leaving millions of vulnerable families struggling to access basic food and nutrition. Through 2026 Qurbani campaign, "A Trace That Stays," URDA aims to provide fresh Qurbani meat to displaced families, widows, orphans, elderly individuals, and low-income households across both countries. The campaign seeks to improve nutrition, restore dignity, and bring hope during Eid Al-Adha .
Lebanon and Syria are facing severe humanitarian and economic crises that have left many families struggling to afford basic food and nutrition. In Lebanon, the ongoing economic collapse and renewed displacement in March 2026 have increased poverty and pressure on vulnerable communities, while in Syria, years of conflict and instability continue to leave millions dependent on humanitarian aid. Across both countries, many families can no longer afford protein-rich foods such as meat.
Through its 2026 Qurbani campaign, "A Trace That Stays," Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) will provide fresh Qurbani meat to vulnerable families across Lebanon and Syria, including displaced families, widows, orphans, elderly individuals, and low-income households. The project will help improve access to nutritious protein-rich meals, reduce food insecurity during Eid Al-Adha, and restore dignity and hope to families facing severe economic and humanitarian hardship.
The project will help strengthen food security and improve the nutritional well-being of vulnerable families across Lebanon and Syria, particularly children and elderly individuals who are most at risk of malnutrition. Beyond immediate relief, the campaign will foster dignity, hope, and social solidarity by ensuring struggling families feel supported and remembered during Eid Al-Adha. It will also help strengthen trust between humanitarian organizations and affected communities.
