The educational resources that were developed were particularly appreciated by users. These are booklets for teachers and for the managers of religious education structures. These resources are about human rights, secularism and national cohesion. They can be adapted and reused to roll out the project in other areas.
Pedagogical advisors and inspectors in the project area have been trained to support the 340 beneficiary schools. They are now able to meet their specific needs.The project strengthened the mutual trust between faith-based schools and state education actors.
It has opened up perspectives for new projects: teachers in faith-based schools in Côte d'Ivoire need additional training in specific subjects as classroom management; the project addressed reading and citizenship programs, but could be extended to other school subjects; parents of pupils in faith-based schools could be involved in awareness-raising sessions; the link between pupils in faith-based schools and those in state schools could be strengthened; the action can be extended to other regions, and even to other countries.
We are currently working on these new developments and look forward to sharing them to you in further actions.
