Non-Residential Beneficiaries

  • Girls Tech Hangout

In commemoration of International Day of the Girl Child 2021 and to celebrate its theme “Digital Generation, Our Generation”, Tabitha Home hosted 45 girls from 4 orphanages in Ibadan Nigeria for a Girls Tech Hangout.

The event, Girls Tech Hangout was aimed at promoting the need for technology in all fields and for generation of girls regardless of their ability, status, tribe, and language.

The founder and CEO of The Smart Farm, Modupe Oyetoso facilitated the project; exposing the benefit of technology to her large scale agricultural business and how technology would as well benefit other fields.

The event which was in collaboration with Alliance Francaise, Ibadan, was fun, interactive and educational. The participants gave their Tech Experience, exposed their curiosity and also responded to questions.

  • School Visitation: International Day of the Girl Child

Tabitha Home visited Rochas Foundation College, Ibadan to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child. The event was in partnership with Help Initiative Nigeria. The school which has over 1000 students was engaged in a role play and open discussion session on the need for girls to be involved in technology.

Residential Beneficiaries

  • Education

September 2021, residential beneficiaries of Tabitha Home started a new session and were all promoted to a new class. There’s an increase in the number of children as 7 beneficiaries were recently placed in the shelter facility of Tabitha Home for rehabilitation and protection. Also, one of the beneficiaries was reintegrated back to his family after the assessment of his family confirmed them capable of providing his needs. The reintegration was done through the Chidl Welfare Department, Ministry of Women Affairs, Child Welfare and Social Inclusion.

In this regard, Tabitha Home extended the donation of 2 million naira to the Paediatric Unit of the University College Hospital of Ibadan (UCH) in memory of Iyanu. The donation which is to go towards the financial, emotional and physical support of needy children was the sum raised from online donors who supported Iyanu’s medical campaign and stayed anonymous.
