Stop Demand- End Sex Trafficking

While 60 victims are rescued every month and admitted in the Therapeutic Community, a strongly held belief among the Prajwala warriors is, so long as there is 'demand' for women and girls there will be continous supply. At one end curative efforts to support victims to become survivors continues in the therapeutic community, at the other we have started our intervention for demand-reduction.

In collaboration with US Consulate of Hyderabad, Prajwala engaged with the telugu film industry. The response to our proposal to make some PSA's (Public Service Advertisements) to influence men to end demand was met with much enthusiasm. Three Production Houses Ramoji Group, SunTouch Productions and Geeta Arts came forward to produce 6 PSA's and one short film free of cost. These films were released during a launch and now will be certified by the censor board to be shown in all movie theaters. All the PSA's target men aiming to challenge and change their behaviour.  

The launch of the PSA's was done ensuring opinion makers from all walks of life including High Court Judges came forward to endorse the idea. This is in continuation to the 'Movement Against Demand' that Prajwala
