The A Name, A Future project continues its mission to support children and families in Aleppo, Syria, despite the ongoing violence and instability. The city, once a thriving cultural and economic hub, is now devastated by years of war and under siege again, with jihadist militias expanding their control. As our colleague Jacob, who lives in Aleppo, describes: "Aleppo is no longer a safe place, but it remains our home. The desire for peace is a silent cry that we hope, one day, someone will hear."
Despite these challenges, our local team remains committed to providing hope and relief. Every day, we continue to support the most vulnerable, especially the children who are increasingly traumatized by the war.
