Dear Friends & Family of Cultivando Sonrisas!
We hope this finds each of you having a wonderful holiday season and with the joy and peace of Christmas in your hearts. At Cultivando Sonrisas we have had an extra special December and Christmas season, thanks in part to your generosity! Thank you thank you thank YOU!
As we approach the last few days of 2017, we want to update you on the progress of our project “A Home To Build Futures In”, and ask you to to join with us in 2018 to ensure the continued progress of this project, helping to see it to completion!
To date, through the GlobalGiving platform, we have raised $23,100 USD from 94 different donors! What a great start to this campaign! Truly we are so grateful and excited for the progress that is being made towards our goal to raise $170,000 in a year’s time to ensure a permanent home for our girl and the foundation.
On top of the excitement of the wonderful start to our fundraising campaign, in December the foundation finally received approval and permits to be able to build on the land that they purchased in 2015. The original plan was to build on this land, but for 2 years we have not been able to get the necessary permits to begin building.
Having these permits will allow us to start building in stages as the money is raised for the project. However, this is going to require a strong devotion to continued fundraising to ensure the funds continue to come in as we start the building process.
We ask each of you to please consider making a commitment to a reoccurring monthly donation starting today! Reoccurring monthly donations are one of the biggest indicators of long term sustainability regardless of how big or small your monthly donation is.
Through GlobalGiving you can sign up to make a reoccurring monthly donation for as little as $10 a month, which likely much less than you spend on coffee in a month J
Also remember all donations made through the GlobalGiving platform are tax deductible in both the US and the UK. And…..any reoccurring donations made before midnight EST Dec. 31st, will be matched, and count as 2 donors in our overall donation count for the accelerator program, helping us to win bonus prizes such as $$$ and free marketing for our fundraising efforts!

It is really easy to sign up for a reoccurring donation, just go to our campaign page on GlobalGiving https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/a-home-to-build-futures-in/ On the right hand side you will see a “Donate Now” button where you can customize your donation amount, or directly below the donate now button there are two tabs “donate once” or “donate monthly”, click on the donate monthly tab and pick your donation amount.
