We´re extremely grateful for the donations that we have received thus far towards this critical project for Msamaria. Thanks to these, together with local donations raised from Tanzanian companies and volunteers, 40 meters of cement wall have already been built, covering the main entrance to the Center.
There is still work to be done to complete the perimeter, but the situation has already improved dramatically, as the area that had direct contact with the road has already been completely walled off. This was the most vulnerable area for the safety of the 100 children who live in the Centre.
Further repair/construction work will be planned and executed as new funds are made available. We will keep the project open here in GlobalGiving for a few more months in the hope of yet collecting some additional funds, while of course from Msamaria and from other organizations like Bykili that collaborate with them, we continue our own fund raising efforts.
