Good eyesight is important for students' learning and quality of life. This semester, we provided free vision checkups and prescription glasses to 2,893 students in four schools, and a total of 408 students received new glasses free of charge. When giving out the glasses, we also told the students the correct way to wear them and the precautions to be taken, and tell them to continue to maintain good eye care habits to control the increase of the prescription. In addition to the students' self-awareness, parents also play a critical role in the eye care of the children. In the spring semester of 2024, the program staff conducted workshops for those students and parents who are already nearsighted but lack the correct concept of eye care. The workshop reached out to 106 parents and students in four schools. Through interactive Q&A exchanges, parents were able to understand their confusion and misconceptions about eye care.
