Studies show that yoga and mindfulness reduce anxiety, increase attention, and improve cognitive performance in children. For students in remote, underserved villages in India, yoga is a simple & sustainable way to engage young minds, boost potential, and improve quality of life for years to come.
Thanks to your generous support, Karuna-Shechen was able to teach yoga skills to improve the lives of 510 children in remote Indian villages.
The children reached through this project not only participated in yoga classes, but also learned tools to manage stress and increase concentration, as well as develop positive physical and emotional practices. The instruction encouraged self-esteem and body awareness while helping to foster cooperation and compassion!
Together, we are giving children a better chance to learn, develop, and carry these benefits with them throughout their lives.
From all of us at Karuna-Shechen, we thank you for reaching out across the globe to support our project — a perfect example of compassion in action.
