There is a lack of clean water in Bauchi and the government has not been able to provide its citizens with drinkable water. As a result, people in Nigeria get many diseases that are related to this lack of water purification. Thus it is important to provide communities with water purification systems. Most importantly it will create entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for the youth by one being run by young community leaders and two by keeping young people healthy and ready to work.
Not having access to clean water has many negative consequences. One of the many is that people in Bauchi get diseases that eventually kill them, many of which are related to this lack of clean water. Therefore, the mortality rate among the citizens is high and many of them do not make it past childhood. Many of them do not have the resources to get the expensive treatments that are available.
This project is aimed at providing the people in Bauchi with clean water. Water purification will be able to serve the lives of many people and improve their way of living, granting them more opportunities to work and hold down jobs. This is especially important to young individuals who need every employment opportunities offered to hem and cannot be held back by poor health.
Develop independent profit-generating businesses that serve as models for growth in surrounding communities. Project beneficiaries fill voids in the local economy while improving their families' health, education and financial stability. Previous leaders have sent their brothers, sisters and children to school, helped invest in new businesses within the community, offered new services to community members such as the disabled, establishing infrastructure for the future growth of Nigeria.
