Dear donors,
I am thrilled to announce that the fundraiser for Asina's eye surgeries has been successfully completed! Now, it's just a matter of time until we receive the funds from GlobalGiving (there's typically a one-month delay), and we can begin coordinating the surgery. With school just starting after a long winter break, Tony will have the opportunity to bring Asina once our current maintenance projects are completed, which he must oversee. Tony will schedule a visit to the eye hospital in Kampala, which is five hours away, where Asina will see a surgeon, undergo additional tests if necessary, and schedule a date for surgery. It's an incredibly exciting time, and I will ensure to keep everyone informed as we progress with the procedure.
We are immensely grateful that God has allowed this fundraiser to be successful, and we are on the verge of creating a miracle for Asina—a miracle that often seems out of reach in poverty-stricken, rural Uganda. I extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who participated in this journey.
Please note that although Asina's surgeries are fully funded, I will be creating another micro-project for MCCF's ongoing medical needs, as mentioned in the initial micro-project description. Without readily available medical funds, MCCF is vulnerable in the event of a dire emergency, where we might lack the necessary resources to provide immediate assistance. Unfortunately, each year in Uganda, individuals, including children, lose their lives due to the inability to access funded medical treatment. In the past, within our community, we have witnessed tragic outcomes due to this lack of funding. Our utmost priority is the protection and well-being of our children, ensuring that we can seek medical assistance whenever the need arises.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support and generosity.
Warm regards,
