We created this microproject to plan a series of workshops for our target audience. We raised $120 out of the needed $750. We thank donors who gave us this amount.
Sadly, we were not able to make this project work at this time. We had announced a date for our first workshop, but apparently it was not a right time, and though we sent out a lot of communications, we had only a single registration. And the same resident also called to tell us that he was having an examination on that date and was unable to come.
Soon after, we have been flooded with workshop requests in other towns, and so we were unable to plan for more immediately. Before we knew it, the three months to raise funds for this, ran out and we have not been able to take this idea ahead.
The good thing however is, that our E-Learning program, which was also going slower that we had planned, suddenly picked up speed and we are now almost "ready to take off" this one! The program should go live during this month. Once this happens, we plan to ask all those who showed interest in our workshops to enroll in the online course, as it has lots more learning options for them. Of course if anyone does want a face to face workshop, we would definitely organize one or more.
So, while we could not take off this project, we diverted funds to our E-Learning course and are ready to launch that soon. Overall, we will be reaching out our teaching skills, but through a different platform.
We however do hope to conduct live events a little later in the year, and may raise funds for them again. We are very optimistic about doing them.
