Thank you again for your generous donation to our micro project for maintenance and repair of the aging Tahuantinsuyo Community Centre in El Alto. This Centre runs education support and nutrition programs for 64 children in need.
In February 2024, 4 Help Bolivia Directors visited Bolivia and saw the updates that were done to the Centre last Fall. Thank you for helping that happen!
Unfortunately, they also saw the damage to the ceiling caused by recent leaks in the roof due to an abnormally heavy rainy season in January and February 2024. All agreed that fixing the roof was the top priority. Some rooms have mold growing on the ceiling, and in some cases this was not noticed until the trip photos were reviewed!
Roof repairs are slated for this Spring, once the rainy season stops. If you would like to contribute to help with the roof, please visit our main page.
