On behalf of the Aumazo Board and Staff, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous donation to 'AUMAZO, INC.' Tutoring Program “Ça Fait Du Bien / It Makes Good.” and getting us closer to our goal of raising funds and providing education to girls in Bankondji and the neighboring villages. The Tutoring program is the essential ingredient for their academic success.
The goal of the program is to improve girls' academic performance and personal growth and help them pass the high school entrance exam that will allow them to enter our high school once it opens its door. This exam is a pre-requisite in Cameroon to enter 9th grade.
Based on the feedback we got recently from Bankondji village, the program is already having a positive impact on 34 girls in Bankondji Cameroon. A few days ago, Novice, one of the girls participating in our tutoring program, said that her grades in French increased from last year--when she had only 2/20--to 9/20 today, a 35% increase. Maurelle, another participant, shared that she ended last school year with 9/20 in English. A few days ago, she scored 20/20 on her first English test! That is a 55% increase after roughly a month of tutoring. These girls emanated such spirit and momentum that we were compelled to look at the future of Aumazo through their eyes.
Tangible results are happening to the point that Washington Post took notice.
