Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support in providing safe and reliable transportation for the girls at The Mariposa DR Foundation. We've been able to hire a full time Director of Transportation, Alvaro Jimenez! Alvaro is a local taxi driver and long time supporter of The Mariposa DR Foundation. He has a great driving record and loves the job of getting our girls safely around town.
Daily transportation is one of our biggest and most important expenses. Getting our girls to and from the center safely is our biggest concern. It's just not safe for young girls to be walking on the road as they are constantly preyed upon, not to mention that traffic accidents are the number one cause of death in the entire country!
By providing all of our girls with a ride to and from Mariposa activities with a driver who they know, trust and love, we are making it easy for them to maintain great attendance records and relieve any stress their parents may have about them being outside of the home.
Because of you, our girls are enjoying everything that Mariposa and our town of Cabarete has to offer!
