Thanks to all the funding we received we were able to modify our existing little yellow bakkie ( car) with a cage on the back, so that we can safely transport animals to and from outreach, and to and from sterilizations and the government veterinary clinic. This has been a huge help, and our biggest proof of this was this last Mandela Day, where we worked hand in hand with the Vet & Clinic, and brought 22 male dogs to be sterilized/castrated. This day was proof not only that our education campaign is working, but that slowly communities and the village are starting to undertsand how to prevent unwanted puppies ( and thus puppy mortalities).
22 more dogs have been sterilized, transported in our little modified car, and are now happy and healthy with their owners, thanks to you!!
Much much love from the team at Nourish, and our furry friends. Should you wish to follow our progress please check out our Help us Sterilize a Dog in Rural Africa - which is our ongoing Global Giving campaign.
