We are running out of food for the dogs in our care, and buying food for only one month would cost us around 1500 Euros. Our friends in Belgium have gathered 2.5 tons of food for us, but we need to pay for the transport, which will also be somewhere between 1000 and 1500 Euros, but it will last us about 4 months.
Stray dogs are a problem in Romania, because they cause car accidents, because in certain situations they can attack people and cause injuries or diseases and because abandoned on the streets, they can get sick or get injured and die in horrible conditions. We rescue the dogs and cats that cannot fend for themselves while also promoting spaying campaigns and working with the authorities to educate and protect the animals.
60 dogs will have food for the next 2-3 months, allowing us to continue focusing on providing treatments to the ones in need and on the spaying campaigns.
The animals in our care will be feed every month, with high quality food, avoiding diseases caused by low quality food, that way decreasing future veterinary costs. This way, maybe someday, they will all have a home of their one.
