We bring you the latest update on the progress of our project, "These Rural Children Need You!" aimed at transforming the infrastructure of classrooms and the dining room at a local rural school in Rama Paso.
Due to recent oscillations in the Argentine economy, our project experienced unforeseen delays. The resulting surge in prices across the country not only impacted our budget but also presented challenges in procuring essential construction materials. Suppliers, reluctant to proceed without established reference prices, contributed to further setbacks.
As a consequence of these challenges, the initiation of construction was pushed to the end of November, missing the initial timeline. Unfortunately, the project could not be completed before the mid-December conclusion of the school year. However, we are committed to resuming and completing the remaining work in February/March 2024.
We want to assure our donors that, despite these obstacles, the project will be carried out in its entirety. Once completed, a detailed report accounting for every aspect of the work will be made available to ensure transparency and accountability.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors for their unwavering support and understanding during these challenging times. Your commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for the 22 children benefitting from this project is making a significant impact on their lives.
We eagerly anticipate updating you on the successful completion of the project and showcasing the positive transformation it brings to the lives of these children. Your continued support is vital to the success of our initiatives aimed at improving rural education in Argentina!
