On the 3rd of July we will start the three-month long Tamar Vocational and Life Training for women currently working in prostitution. In the Training we offer a chance for a new life, vocational Training (Hairdressing, Barista, Sewing, Hospitality, Cooking, Baking), counseling, personal finance training and much more. We hope for 8-10 women to join the Training and the cost for the Training is 3800 USD per women, including salary for three months, housing, food, training, material, etc)
Many women that are working in the bars of Pattaya are trapped in the sex industry. They often do not want to do the job that they are doing but they see no option of a different job as they have no job education and no skills. They are also often traumatized through the work that they have been doing for the last years.
During our Training program we offer them basic Training in different jobs. They can choose between: cooking, baking, barista, restaurant management, sewing, hairdressing and hospitality. After the three months we offer each of the women either further training in the job that they have chosen or we employ them in one of our own businesses were they can deepen their skills.
Our goal for the women is to leave Pattaya, maybe return to their families and to have a normal life outside of the sex industry. We will train the women job skills and help them to find employment or help them to start their own small business so that they can provide for themselves and their children. Also, when they return to their families, they will help to prevent other young girls and boys to start a work in the sex industry.
