Help five-years-old AWABO BRILLANE SCHERANEL undergo needed heart surgery. Awabo's mother said she started noticing her daughter often felt tired when she was about 2 year old. Awabo was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital defect which requires open heart surgery. Awabo's mother is a seamstress, her father a taxi driver. They struggle to support 5 children and cannot afford the costs for a heart operation, which will allow Awabo to run & play for the first time.
Awabo has a heart defect that leaves her weak and listless. Her mother suffers watching her difficulties and knowing that surgery would allow her to enjoy life and grow up strong and lively, but that she can't afford it. Therefore the Heart Foundation asks the Global Giving community for assistance and support for Awabo and thanks in advance for your donation!
It will fully fund heart surgery and follow-up care for Awabo during one of the Cardiac Center Shisong's upcoming pediatric surgical mission (August or November 2017).
We believe that when a community comes together to heal a heart it gets stronger, more united, and geared towards positive transformation of unhealthy systems. Such a community will not pick up arms against each other because they have a more reasonable job at hand. In addition, we believe a heart that is healed will be motivated to join the strengthened human community on its positive course- and so the chain will flow from one person to another and from generation to generation.
