Old age is a process each of us must go through, unfortunately many people in our community don't even remember the enormous contributions the elderly contributed to the society they live in. Many of the elderly live in isolation and neglected, lack many essentials like food, clothing and medical care. The project aims to provide food, blankets, clothing and medical care so that they can live a comfortable life. This will give them hope and put a smile on their faces.
The elderly are the most neglected people in our society. They live in challenging conditions where getting something to eat is very difficult as they no longer afford anything due to age. The elderly become helpless and need support like food, shelter, blankets, clothing and medical care. They live in isolation and neglect which lead them to depression and death yet this could have been avoided. This kind of situation deprives us of useful people who could give advise to the young community.
The project will give support and care to the elderly with the most essentials like food, blankets, clothing, shelter and medical care. The project will provide a special Xmas gift to each elderly in Luwanula village because this is the worst period where nobody cares about their well fare during Xmas season. This will put a smile on the faces of the elderly and this will enhance their life expectance as they will afford a better meal and other essentials in life.
The provision of food, blankets, good shelter and medical care , will make them feel loved and this will enhance their lives and life expectance rate for the area will increase. Their lives will be transformed and they will be contributing to the development of the community by participating in the community meetings where they will be giving great ideas. Some of them will be encouraged to have small gardens where they can grow vegetables and other short term crops to ensure food security .
