This project will support Teach for India Fellows in providing an excellent education to 10,000 students. We believe that at the root of this crisis in education lies a crisis of leadership. Thus, our vision is enabling collective leadership to drive proof points of holistic education for a better Delhi. Your contribution will help to support our Fellowship program, Alumni initiatives, student leadership programs and the larger movement towards ending education inequity in Delhi .
The education crisis is a complex puzzle with layers of issues from attendance to teaching quality. Underlying all of these complex layers of failing education. With nearly 1 in 4 people below the age of 14 years, India today stands at an inflection point; where we go from here depends in a large part on our ability to provide equal opportunities for all children to attain an excellent education.
Through your contribution we aim to have 10,000 students operate with strengths and values to make informed choices for self and their world, towards a better Delhi. At the same time, 300 Fellows will create and own their leadership journey by practicing Teaching As Leadership skills to impart a holistic education to 10,000 students in Delhi
In the long run, Teach For India will build a powerful and ever-growing leadership force of alumni who, informed by their experiences and insights, will work from inside and outside the educational system to effect the fundamental, long-term changes necessary to ultimately realize educational opportunity for all. Teach For India plays an active role in ensuring that the Alumni of the program are excellent ambassadors who have the mind-sets and skills to create exponential and collective impact.
