The vision of Teach For India is that one day, all children will attain an excellent education. To achieve this daunting vision, we're building a movement of leaders who will work to end educational inequity. Teach For India recruits India's most outstanding college graduates and young professionals and places them as full time teachers in under-resourced schools for two years through the Fellowship program. To solve India's education problems, we need the best minds & hearts in education. At Teach For India Chennai, our movement of 115+ Fellows join us from various prestigious institutions to work as full-time teachers in high-need, low-income schools (32 Corporation schools & 4 private schools) across South, Central and North Chennai. The Maya Musical: Find your Light
 
The Maya Musical is a story of our journey to find our light. Maya, a partnership between Teach For India and Artists Striving to End Poverty, is an original script, with Broadway composed music that tells the story of Princess Maya's journey. Tasked to bring light back into her Kingdom, Maya and her friends use the values of courage, compassion and wisdom to lift 3 great curses that have been cast on the world.
