This project will help Sravani pursue Mech Engineering in National Institute of Technology - Meghalaya.. She comes from a very poor family. She lost her father when she was very young. Her mother is disabled. Your support will help her pursue the four-year Engineering program. The project will also provide food, education, clothing, books, stationery to help her academics.
Sravani's father left home when she was 9. Mother is physically handicapped. The family survives on her meagre pension. With great efforts, she was able to complete High School with a GPA of 8.7 and Intermediate with 93%. She got admission for BTech in Mechanical Engineering in NIT-Meghalaya. She recently completed her first year with 77% aggregate. Your support will ensure she continues her studies and pursue a fruitful career. This project solves the problem of poverty and ignorance for one underprivileged girl. Her mother has been struggling to support her family since the last several years. Without proper education, Sravani would have stopped studies and ended up as an unemployed or unskilled bonded labor all his life or got married off at a young age. Higher education will ensure that Sravani becomes a qualified professional from the prestigious NIT.
