Summary

This microproject will change the destiny of a semi orphan girl child Soni by providing for comprehensive care including food, clothing, education and health care for one year and help her complete STD XI.

Challenge

This project will help us protect the girl child from 1. being a child labourer 2. being a victim of trafficking 3. child marriage 4. illiteracy and unemployment for life

Solution

This project solves the problem by helping Sphoorti provide the girl child shelter, timely education material, shoes, school bags, uniforms etc to study well and attend school regularly. This project helps the girl child nurture hope and confidence to lead a reasonably good life.

Long-Term Impact

The project will provide education to 200 first generation school going girls and help them attain high school education at the least. Beneficiaries who complete school to secondary level are supported with higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment. About 150 families (750 people) will be direct and indirect beneficiaries of this initiative.
