Supriya hails from a village in Chittoor. Her father is a cycle mechanic and mother is a daily wage worker. Because of Covid19, the father lost his livelihood for more than 18 months. To make things work, during recent floods in Chittoor district, water entered their thatch and washed away all their belongings. The family was also contemplating suicide at one time. Sphoorti stepped in with support. With this situation, supporting Supriya's education is impossible for the family.
Your support to Supriya will make a world of difference to the family. After losing everything, the family is barely able to survive. Supriya will be able to continue her studies. She wishes to be a Nurse in future.
The project will provide education to 200 first generation school going girls and help them attain high school education at the least. Beneficiaries who complete school to secondary level are supported with higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment. About 150 families (750 people) will be direct and indirect beneficiaries of this initiative.
