Greetings for the New Year!
Sincere apologies for the delayed report.
For the first time, Vacha is participating in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2019, to be held on 20th January. We have 34 runners running in various race categories like Dream Run, Half Marathon and 10 Km. The runners belong to various backgrounds like professional athletes, doctors, corporates, NRI, young entrepreneurs, women athletes and professionals, etc. We also have Vacha’s youth volunteers, our girls and staff participating in the race. One of our girls who aspires to become a Police officer, has been training really hard for her run.
We have interns at Vacha, who have prepared posters and banners for the race day, which will be displayed to raise awareness regarding Vacha’s cause of girl empowerment. ‘Alliance Insurance Pvt. Ltd.’, a corporate is supporting Vacha in the Marathon and will have 19 employees wearing our jerseys and running on the track.
The excitement levels are soaring high and everyone is looking forward to the race which will take place in 2 days.
