Summary

This project will support the farmers, agricultural labourers, and informal sector workers who are the worst hit by COVID-19 and the resulting lockdowns. COVID-19 bringing transportation, mandis, and market demand to a standstill, farmers are starting to face difficulties harvesting their rabi crop. There are as many as 48.2 crore workers in India. 14.4 Crore landless agricultural workers, and 21.9 crore non-agricultural workers. Almost none of them get a monthly pay.

Challenge

According to the last published Census of India data, there are as many as 48.2 crore workers in India. Of these, only 3.3 crore are in the formal sector; the remaining 93 percent includes 11.9 crore farmers, 14.4 crore landless agricultural workers, and 21.9 crore non-agricultural workers. Almost none of them get a monthly pay cheque or bank transfer. Their cash flows are dependent on them working. CHHASE will provide ration kits to 12000 families of daily wage workers those who lost work

Solution

Family kits with mask, sanitize item, soap, tablet and hand cleaning cloth for 12000 families. Ration kits to 12000 families of daily wage workers those who lost work and earning. Awareness support for 10000 risk families through family by family visit and providing preventing items. Herbal medicines will be provided to 20000 people

Long-Term Impact

Our support and activities are giving more prevention from Covid-19 in sustainable manner because the project will protect them from the disease and disaster. All people will escape from the affection and poor and marginal families will survive from the poverty and hunger
