This project will change the life of a very poor girl Suma who scored 8.4 in her STD X examinations held in March 2017. She is one of the brightest children of Sphoorti and stood second in her School. Suma wants to prepare for entrance examinations for Engineering and Sciences. Your support will help her get the required support for one year. The project will also provide food, education, clothing, books, stationery to help her preparation.
Suma's father met with a very bad accident when she was very young. Since then, the family has been run by her mother Nirmala single-handedly. After a while, it was beyond her means to support Suma. In 2010, Suma was brought to Sphoorti. She is a very hard working child. She scored 8.4 in her STD X examinations. She wants to pursue Engineering. Suma needs your support to fulfill her dream.
This project solves the problem by providing Suma comprehensive care, shoes, school bags, uniforms, lunch box, travel costs, health care and required material to study well. Most importantly, it will provide her financial resources to prepare for examinations after STD XI. The total cost is Rs 25,000 (tuition) + Rs 35000 (living expenses).
The project will provide education to 200 first generation school going girls and help them attain high school education at the least. Beneficiaries who complete school to secondary level are supported with higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment. About 150 families (750 people) will be direct and indirect beneficiaries of this initiative.
