Gabriela is in her fourth year of Early Childhood Education and must now travel to rural schools for her practical studies. She will have the extra expenses of transportation and the school materials which she must provide for the children. By finishing her studies, she will be able to work as a teacher, help support her mother who is on dialysis and contribute to the education of her family and that of her community.
Gabriela's mother is on dialysis and is no longer able to help support Gabriela in her studies. What Gabriela earns on the weekends is not enough to help with household expenses plus the transportation costs and school materials she needs for her practical studies in the rural schools. To fulfil her educational requirements this year she will need extra support for her transportation and the purchase of educational materials.
With an allowance of $73 for 11 months, Gabriela can complete her practical studies for 2023. Working as a teacher, Gabriela will be able to provide for herself and her mother and contribute to the progress of her country.
