The needs of the Ukrainian families are great. Being a mother is the hardest job in the world, and doing this job in a war context is a task unimaginably hard to manage. Raising a child in a conflict context, while worrying and grieving is extremely difficult. We sincerely want to support them with item distributions and by developing Ukrainian family care materials and opportunities to connect with peers and seek psychosocial support via our Mother2Mother network.
The war in Ukraina has left many families without their basic needs, and most mothers are trying to cope with significant trauma and stress while trying to keep their children safe and raise them well.
We will aim to support at least 200 mothers with children clothing and essential care items (i.e. nappies, baby formula, shampoo, soap etc.) and with toys and bedding. In addition, we want to unite and support the mothers with out Mother2Mother platform where mothers can learn about child care , maternity, feminine care and family care while having an opportunity to chat with peers and with mama-mentors for compassionate active listening and support and receive stress and trauma relief classes
Children learn and heal best through play and active participation. Mothers need to rest and heal & feel empowered. This has a life-long positive impact minimising negative experiences, challenges or trauma from childhood affecting the adulthood Life and decisions. Romi's Way invests greatly on building balanced and stimulating childhood for all children, allowing them to grow to their full potential with respect towards all forms of life, understanding of themselves and the world we are living.
